We are here to commence our Vraja - mandala  parikrama  or Kartika  parikrama . I have mentioned how the month of Kartika has many names. One name is niyama-seva masa . Niyama  means to follow the rules and regulations of the scriptures and masa  means month. That means this month is meant for following all of the rules and regulations from the scriptures in order to develop our spiritual lives.
